The laboratory conducts breeding research to obtain fruit products with characteristics demanded by the market. For each of the studied species, apricot, peach, nectarine, fruit shrubs, and strawberry, the breeding objectives are identified and the specific stages of the breeding process are followed.

LABORATORY FOR AGROTECHNICS AND PLANT PROTECTION

The laboratory researches the techniques and technologies applicable to the cultivation of new varieties of apricot, peach, and nectarine, as well as the behavior of apple and cherry varieties in the Bucharest area. Also, to meet the needs of farmers, the laboratory staff is monitoring the differentiated application of pruning and the use of different crown forms for varieties grown in the southern part of Romania, intending to extend them into production
